Wiper/Headlight Law in Effect
By Craig Schaffer
Jan 30, 2007, 08:53

Pennsylvania's new Wiper Headlight law is now in effect. The intent of the law is to increase visibility of vehicles during inclement weather such as rain, fog sleet and snow.

Trooper Dave McGarvey Spokesman for State Police Troop G says the fine is $25.00 but when court costs and catastrophic loss fund costs are added a driver could end up paying over $100.00.

Another new traffic law deals with cleaning your vehicle of ice and snow. The fines range from $200 to $300 if someone is injured from flying snow or ice from moving vehicles.
